Great list! She seriously is a very underrated artiste. Rahman always seems to give her awesome melodies, to which she does complete justice.
And I'll have to admit, I didn't know 'Pehla Nasha' was sung by her :|

dude im bowled over by brute force..sad they disbanded..
there are indian metal bands you listen to just because they are good live but honestly do not put up with their standards THAT much in the studio version of their songs.
These guys are musically insane..they actually did create awesome good music..

Munna and Mohini was mazedaar...Thanks for taking me back to the ek do teen days. I am also from the VCR/audio casette era. I had Tezaab/QSQT cassette combo, good value for money.

One thing to note, is Suresh Oberoi always interrupts with his weird voice "munnaa"
"munaaa".

The Chuunky Pandey death scene is the best, followed by his restaurant bufoonery.

The first time I saw Shaan I decided right then and there that that if I ever get to marry Akshaye Khanna, it's going to be in that room with all those people around and I will make all my friends dress up in those great sparkly cheerleader-y outfits. You of course must be in the wedding party in some sort of fly tuxedo :)

Reakha is sucha beautiful dancer and Shahsikala's moving nicely too, i think i'd have to rewatch this film, i saw it in my early bollywood fan days and thought it was boring, maybe i'd think differently about it now

Superb song! I have seen Khoobsurat n no. of times myself (courtesy our channel's matinee movies) and yes, the movie is lovable. Rekha absolutely steals the show with her effortless portrayal of Manju.

Hahaha Pituji..Saare niyam bilkul tod do.. Niyam bane hi hai todne ke liye.. Asha jee didn't get nominated for the song which is a shame..

I didn't know Kayda was sung by Rekha herself. Awesome trivia. I will HAVE to write a post soon on the awesomeness of Khubsoorat.

OMG I love this movie!! And I love all the songs esp this one and 'Sare niyam tod do' which is a founding principle of Pitustan. In this song, I love when Asha sings: "Sapno ki jhaalar buni... hui baawari hui baawri....".. love it! Other faves in the movie:

1) Maine to shaadi kar li hai! Sangeet se ;-)
2) The argument b/w Ashok and Dina - Gulab hoga to kaante bhi honge!
3) I love when Dina reprimands Rekha - Haath to tum dhoti hain, kamsekam seb to dho liya karo. Rekha: Koi zaroorat nahi Auntyji, mooh to dhula hua hai!

Also, Rekha has an amazing voice. She's sung 'Kayda Kayda' herself :D

And I just quoted 'Chai to Cheen des ki tulsi hai' on Twitter. LOL!
